Initiatives

In addition to the sculpture garden, owners Arthur Broek and Stasja Goedbloed are committed residents of Ouddorp and Goeree Overflakkee. Their passion for art in public space has resulted in various initiatives that are in various stages of research, development or realization.

Maarten Struijs route Rotterdam

Route along the north-south axis of Rotterdam past buildings of former city architect Maarten Struijs. A very interesting day trip that starts at the beautiful Blijdorp metro station and ends at the impressive wind catcher at Rozenbrug.

Art at the recreation park

An initiative and research to use art together with the Landal and Klepperstee recreation park to improve the quality of the (semi-)public space. This project is currently being realized. The sculpture garden fulfills the role of advisor to the management.

Inventory of art in public space

Archive research and inventory of art in the public space of the municipality of Goeree Overflakkee: what, by whom, where placed, on what occasion, when, what material, etc.), inspecting all images on site and advice regarding maintenance and management. This project will soon enter the realization phase with the support of the municipality.
